An Innovative Charter School Coming to Orangeburg, South Carolina in 2024
Football legend Coach Willie Jeffries is partnering with the Berkeley Charter Education Association and the Charter Institute at Erskine to bring a new educational option to the Orangeburg, South Carolina community for the 2024-2025 schoolyear. With a strong focus on academics, school culture, and community, students who attend the Willie Jeffries School of Excellence(WJSE) will receive a free, world-class education.

WJSE will serve grade levels K-8 at full matriculation. Grade levels K-6 will be served in the first year of operation (2024-2025), and a grade level will be added each year until grades K-8 are served.
765 students will be able to attend the school at full matriculation.
Willie Jeffries School of Excellence will be a tuition-free, public charter school authorized by the Charter Institute at Erskine.
